Roof

Further from my thread regarding my kitchen roof, I have been given some money to have this fixed, to go with the money I have from return of bank charges.

A local semi retired general builder ( he lives about 20 doors from me and has the same house layout as me) has said he can do the roof for £250, plus a little extra if there are more than 3-4 broken slates which will cost approx £2.50 a slate for any extra's.

The roof is approx 3m wide x 5m.

The roof will be stripped, beams treated, felt covered, new battons, and reslated. He says he can do it in 1 day.

He does a lot of work in the local area and everyone I have spoken to is moire than happy with his work.

Is this a good price?
[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.
