That's a great post and very inspiring, thanks :) I think the bit that touched me is when you and your OH came clean to each other. What a spark that must have put back in to your relationship!

Well done SS - a lovely post to inspire the rest of us. I agree with amos about the moment when you came clean to your partner...and clearly he did to you too!

I am guessing that that really helped and once you got it all out in the open you just want to work doubly hard not to let each other down (as well as yourself)?

Good on yer gal...and long may it continue.

You sound really enthused SS, and that's such a great place to be. I hope the magazine article brings in lots of interest for you.

Will your new bus ticket also serve as a free treat - taking you off to new places for a bit of frugal exploring?

Interesting point PaleScene - I'm not sure - I will have to check that one out! Will probably lead me to charity shops though (I :heartpuls them and spend far too much!) and should probably be taking my bike out more!

Think I need to leave FirstBus customer services alone though after I ranted at them on the phone on Friday afternoon when the man had charged me 40p too much for my bus ticket (turns out I need to ask for a 'zone ticket' rather than xxxx location to Edinburgh) - who knew?

What a great post, thank you for updating us and providing some inspiration too!

You have done so well in really embracing the dfw mentality and making every saving that you can, a fab achievement :T

I really hope your wedding favours business continues to grow, a perfect example of 'maximise your income' as well as 'reduce your outgoings', textbook post-lightbulb behaviour, lol ;) :rotfl:

Keep it up and keep the posts coming!

    What a wonderful post :T

To have kept going even when things looked bad, to keep your focus and really take the DFW and MSE on board so that it is now how you live is inspirational.

Your post shows how all extra income and savings is important no matter if it is a few pence or hundreds.

Good luck with the wedding favours and keep up the great work. :T

You're doing great and I wanted to add my virtual cheerleading skills into the mix.

I sense these becoming a habit as we're all working so hard!

    Hey SS :)

Great to see that you're still on the straight and narrow and that you have all these different things going! It was lovely reading your great post and thinking 'yep, doing that....and that....and that'! There's something very motivational in seeing that we are follwoing similar steps in the way to becoming debt free.

As for the favours business, I really hope it grows more and more. It sounds like something you enjoy and a great venture too.

Thanks for sharing and keep it up! :T
