When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

Good morning lovely people:D This will be my last early morning post for a week or so as this time tomorrow I'll be in Ibiza:beer:
Up early to get packed and ready - all showered, now need to tidy up the house.
That's me on my lovely 5 week break - back to work on Sept 1st:T
Probably not the most DFW day, but will try and not spend too much on holiday, it is all inclusive, so shouldn't be too hard!
Off tomy sister's this afternoon sometime, no rush, off to the airport around 6.30 - flying at 9.50.
So.....see you all soon, have a lovely week:D

Here's my list:
  • check banking
  • daily scratch
  • just paid car tax online
  • lunch is rolls from freezer, dinner is Mcdonalds:o
  • pack and tidy house
Now that really is all I'm going to get done!
I really need to sort out a new signature!

    Morning All

I haven't been able to post much this week as it has been so busy at work. I have got lots to do to catch up. OH and I are going to town tonight to see Hamlet at the theatre which will be nice - it's one of the Shakespeare plays I haven't seen/read! I've also got someone coming to see my spare room today with a view to renting it out. I am still having second thoughts but I will meet her and see if I like her and decide then.

    My list for today:
    • Get the spare recylcing bin from garage and throw away all my recycling
    • [STRIKE]Clean bathroom[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Clean kitchen[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Clean living room[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Vacuum living room, hall and stairs[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Check jobs email for suitable jobs [/STRIKE](didn't find one for me but did find one for my boss!)
    • [STRIKE]Scratchie[/STRIKE] 10p!
    • [STRIKE]Check bank accounts[/STRIKE]
    • Prepare budget for August (get paid on Monday)
    • Loaf in BM
    • [STRIKE]Aim for a NSD[/STRIKE]
That's all I can think of at the moment.

    Waving to you all

    Today I have/will:
    • Checked online banking

    • Enter comps online
    • Have a LSD – meeting a friend for a coffee in town, should be a cheap day
    • Go to the library after work to get a new book
    • Look in the local papers for jobs in the local area
    • Work on my 101 list
