Hi
When I am on a webpage that uses Macromedia Flash, I am asked to click on the area that uses it to "activate" it, before I can use it. This has only started happening today. Does anyone know what could have changed, and how can I get rid of the activation stage?
Many thanks

This was probably caused by the latest Microsoft patch from Windowsupdate, it is intentional, and websites should have redesigned their pages to work around the issue.

Thanks very much. This is exactly what's up. Windows updated itself last night when I was shutting the computer down.
What it says on that page is "By default, IE will now consider embedded ActiveX content as inactive." Is there any way that the default can be changed? Or is it just up to the people that make the websites to change?0 -

Websites will probably change to call activex from javascript, when they realise that the site doesn't work properly anymore.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
