My goodness - dirty make up brushes! How often do you clean yours?

I clean mine once a month and leave to dry on a rad, it is important you leave brushes to dry laying down otherwise the glue rots and you loose bristles, I use a brush cleanser I found in superdrug on sale for 50p, before that I just used shampoo but for some reason the cleanser is better, I'm going to try the steralsing fluid though, good tip.Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

I was mine at leaset once a week and i have loads. (and wash foundation brush everytime i use it)
I used to use a body shop brush cleanser but now it use shampoo.
Been doing this for ages and my brushes (and glue) are still fine. I don't use expensive brushes really. Range from about £1.50 elf eyeshadow brushes to about £8 for a large powder kabuki.
I don't leave them to soak which might be why?
Never thought of using sterilising solution - wouldn't that make them stiff?I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
not if you rince them after

Never thought of sterilising fluid but seems logical now!
Places like MAC and Smashbox I see have special brush cleaners but they are a fortune! I just used a little clarifying shampoo on mine and they seem not too bad, just couldn't believe the rubbish that came off them!
Really need to make a note to do it more often!
Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.0 -
I only use mineral make up so have a zillion brushes and I admit I do cheat now and then. If I feel a kabuki is getting a bit claggy I take a comb to it
Other wise I wash every couple of months and leave to dry in the hot press over night, lying flat across the slats0
