Flybe / Sygma / Creation Finance help.

Hi,

I recently applied for a flybe card and am still waiting to hear from them for a decision.

I've checked Equifax report and it's showing the following :

---

20/07/2009 Credit Search Sygma Bank (Uk)

20/07/2009 Unclassified Creation Financial Services Ltd

21/07/2009Subsequent (or follow up) EnquirySygma Bank Uk (Fraud)

---

This seems odd to me.

Should I be worried and / or be doing something regarding this!? Especially the last one of the three!


Any advice appreciated.

I applied recently and had more than one credit search carried out in error. They removed all of these really quickly for me. I also had an unclassified search and a subsequent search but it didn't mention anything about fraud. If you're worried give them a call and they will be able to tell you the status of your application along with credit limits etc. They seem really friendly on the phone. Good luck x

Just had a look at my equifax report and the subsequent/follow up enquiries are not classed as actual credit searches so do not impact on credit decisions. Hope this helps x

Not on mine either.

So maybe that accounts for the creation one, but I'm a bit concerned about the Sygma (fraud) entry.

I had these as well - these seem normal with Flybe/Sygma.Only worry if they were to put a CIFAS next to your name!

Including the fraud one!?

I have four of there cards (too many!)I had been searched - and the fraud is another check by a different part of there company.But these as cosmic says , they only show in the unrecorded section of your credit file - basically the company following up and double checking your credit report.

Hope this makes sense!

to be honest - if you are going to be rejected , normally you would hear within around four - five days after. The longer it is , the better chance you have.

20/07/2009 Credit Search Sygma Bank (Uk) - This is who issued the card to you, i.e. the main bank and so they do a credit search on you. This is the actual credit search.

20/07/2009 Unclassified Creation Financial Services Ltd - This is their finance house and as such they do an address (electroral register) search using Creation who verify the address details. This is not a search but an unclassified entry that is only seem by you.

21/07/2009Subsequent (or follow up) EnquirySygma Bank Uk (Fraud) - This is their fraud dept doing a check against cifas/n hunter and synectics to check you're ok. Again, this is not a credit search but an unclassified entry that is only seen by you.

Hope this clears things up for you....... only one credit search but 2 unclassifieds, one from fraud and one from verification.
