Credit Limit help please

I took out a tesco cc. in August on the 0% and ticked that box that says 'no' to them automatically increasing your limit.
However, I was going to order new windows for our extension and then unexpectedly bought a new 3 piece suite on New Years Eve, which meant that I didn't have enough credit on the card to then purchase the windows - although I had funds in my bank acc for them, I wanted to buy them on the card for buyer protection (likewise the sofa's)
I asked Tesco if they could increase my credit even if it was only temporarily and explained the situation and was told no, you have to have a card with them for 12 months before they will consider upping your credit. In order to then purchase the windows (before the VAT increase) I had to do a faster payment from my bank account to the credit card. Pain in the a**e or what!0 -
