Hey all, Please could you review this quote and let me know if it's fair as I don't really know how much rads cost in the first place.
Install 7 Ideal Stelrad Compact Convector reds, complete with top grill, end panels, thermostatic and lock shield valves.
Removal of one rad and cap under floor.
Refill and add Sentinal X100
Rads as follows:
60 x 54 K2
60 x 42 K2
60 x 27 K1
60 x 33 K2
60 x 36 K2
60 x 18 K2
60 x 21 K2
Quote is £2100
TIA

it does seem a little on the heavy side for 7 rads.0

We would get those rads after discount for approx £700, Allow £100-£200 for valves and fittings.Retail value of rads would be approx 60% more
Would estimate no more than 2 days workHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
Thanks for the replies, I just did a lookup on Plumbcenter's site at the 60x54 K2 and inc VAT thats £535! Jeez, I never thought rads were that expensive each.0

Got two more quotes, neither gave the exact stuff they would provide, other than 7 rads, 5 valves, X100 and 2 days work.
First was £1700 for Purmo rads
Second was £1200 for Altech rads.
Is there really £900 worth of difference between Stelrad and Altech?
Any advice which seems the best / honest quote?
TIA
