in Credit cards
My husband has just re jigged his finances and put all his debt ( about £800) on the Cap 1 balance transfers 0% till July 07, the one where you don't have to make any purchases. However he now needs to put his football season ticket on a credit card too.The cap 1 was only 3 months on purchases, so I am assuming it would be interest on this after the first 3 months.
So, would it make sense for him to get a Sainsury's 12 months on purchases card for the season ticket, or should he put it on his normal MBNA card (balance £0)and then just transfer the balance to Cap 1? Can he do this even though he has already transferred balances, or is there a time limit. He only got it about 3 weeks ago and the credit limit is high enough so he could do this.
Thanks for any suggestions...

Knowing Capital One, they'll move the season ticket purchase "to the back". So any payments would go on the £800 debt first, leaving the purchase to fester and cost you interest until you pay the £800 off. As a general rule, don't spend on a card you use for balance transfers.0

That's what I thought, but if I did it as a balance transfer from another card it would get round that wouldn't it? So it's either that or the Sainsbury's card...0

Yep, that sounds like it would work to me.0

You need to check the ts and cs as to whether there is a time limit within which the 0% bt must be made. For example, I have seen terms to the effect on one card that the 0% offer only applies to bts carried out in the first 6 weeks of the account being open.
If the bt can still be done at 0%, the season ticket should be bought on another card and then the debt should be transferred to the capital 1 card.0 -
