Hiya,
Try typing pop up stopper in any search engine for a free program to eliminate these.
I use pop this - very good
available here.

It is advisable to use adaware from lavasoft after this to get rid of any spyware.
get it at

This should sort you out.

Definately run Adaware. This will most likely find the malware which is causing the pop-ups.
As an alternative to Internet Explorer, try Firefox. Apart from being a better browser than Internet Explorer, it has an inbuilt pop-up blocker. Firefox doesn't load a lot of the background stuff on web pages. This will mean that for a few sites you wont be able to see the page properly. However, for 90% of web pages you wont see the difference. This also means that you are less likely to pick up spyware in the background which Internet Explorer will load by default. You can keep Internet Explorer as a backup for the sites that don't show properly in Firefox.
You can download Firefox for free here:

Also try the new Microsoft thing- Giant was a pretty good program anyway. Can't comment on what Microsoft did to it. https://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx:idea:I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about:idea:0

I would run Spybot S&D (get it here) and then download google's toolbar (here) to stop any further popups0

As suggest by Rex, I'd highly recommend Morzilla Firefox - if your using XP it is ideal and intercepts most spyware/adware.... ;DMark Hughes' blue and white army0
