Might be completely irrelevent to your situation, but I used to have a similar problem with an old pc. It turned out that a program I was running was effectively changing the sound settings and I always ended up with a tick in the 'mute' box in the audio properties which meant no sound, every time I ran this particular program.
No idea why or how it did this, but it did.
Have you checked your audio properties? Start>Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices?Herman - MP for all!0 -
yeah aliasojo i have checked there and it says they are working fine i also made sure the mute button hadnt been pressed cos that happened once before0

Glad you got it sorted.
I'm surprised that the drivers were an issue though, especially since the speakers were working and it was only every now and then this was happening.Weird.

I had an issue with my sound a few months ago. I did the exact same thing and updated the drivers. They were perfect again.Never buy a stupid dwarf -
