Hi i made some curtains for a customer of mine as she had just moved house, after about 9 months she took them down to wash and discovered that the fabric seems to be falling apart, consequently i took one of the curtains back to Fabricland, they sent the curtain to head office where i gathered they would have sent it somewhere to be tested, there is obviously a fault in the fabric, after a few days i received a very nasty letter back saying they wasnt going to do anything as the curtain must have been laying next to the window and it must have been the windowlean she was using. I couldnt find the receipt and am not absolutly sur of when i purchased the fabric, is there anything i can do now. Normaly any fabric i buy in the shop last for years, but this lady hadnt even washed them so it couldnt have been in the washingpowder.

Isn't windolene that stuff you use to clean your windows? Are the manufacturers therefore stating that something that was used to clean the actual window has been in contact with the curtain causing a fabric problem? If this is the case then there isn't much you can do for your customer as your customer has caused the damage.0
