Two days ago, we recommended that you get the latest Microsoft patches and to visit https://www.windowsupdate.com.
But nowadays it really makes more sense to recommend Microsoft Update instead of Windows Update. Microsoft Update does everything Windows Update does plus, in addition to patching the operating system, it also patches other common Microsoft software. For the home user windows update is fine.. so "forget about windows update" is kind of a sweeping comment. Different people want different things.
Personally my sister isn't that worried about security as long as she has the major update which windows update does no problem. Why would i tell her to waste her time going to windowsupdate.com and doing it manually etc....
No point..
So forget effort for windowsupdate.com... its not essential so not a lot of people will care imo
PS: Btw.. I don't mean to sound nasty if i do heh, just reread.. its just that saying "forget it" can send out the wrong message to users.. so imo something like "A better alternative" would fit it better? But thats me being pedantic[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."
