"Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."

All truth goes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.

If they are franchises like Pizza Hut, Subway etc it's basically hit or miss as each will be individually managed. I love Pizza Hut but some of them are nothing short of terrible and you wouldn't believe they were part of such a chain, others I repeatedly visit.

Just so people know Pizza Huts are mostly not franchises - the delivery units are as a rule but not the dine ins. My other half in a manager and they are rigerously tested by head office to make sure they match up to customer service standards...those stores that don't most certainly know about it.

Each one has a different Restaurant Manager employed by Pizza Hut (not a franchised manager) depending on how good they are depends on how good the service is...they are a chain but in most cases not franchises, no different to Pizza Express, ASK, TGIs et al.

I work for the MSing company that does them....there is one near me but I never see it on offer, only branches miles away. After reading this, maybe that's a good thing...

The one in Kingston, Surrey is nice. Modern, clean, good staff.

The one in Southampton is blah. Also I quite liked the one at Lakeside, Thurrock when we stopped there after a busy day shopping. Lovely waitress and quick service. Lovely dessert!!

I've pretty much given up with F&B.

If you get shown straight to a table, fair enough, I'll give it a go.

If there is any kind of wait, I'm out of there. "About 15 minutes Sir" comes the quote, an hour later and still waiting. Happened too many times now.

I also made the mistake of ordering the fish..... turned out it was a simple piece of frozen fish in breadcrumbs from Tesco. And they had the audacity to charge £8 for it!
