Hello everyone!
I have tons of video that I need to record to DVD. Some have to be recorded more than once. They have been originally recorded on video as long play
1 - should I invest in a dvd recorder with a HD?
2 - will the fact that the videos are recorded in longplay affect the quality of recording on the dvd?
3 - is there a dvd recorder that will record to all types/regions?
4 - any recommendations as to which model and where's the cheapest place to get one?
Obviously you can tell I have very limited knowledge of the above piece of machinery and any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Thank you all in advance.

i brought my dvd recorder (liteon in argos £119) for the same reason as u but as most of them r pre-recorded i found that i couldn't copy them on2 dvd even tho i wosn't breakin any laws. there is a device u can get that helps remove this but not sure if i'm allowed 2 post it, tho it's bein sold online.

JVC make a model with all three, HD, VHS and DVD writer, but it costs an arm and a leg (£400 ish). The advantage is that it makes dubbing a breeze.
As Slapps mentioned, If you are copying commercially recorded titles (as opposed to stuff recorded from TV, or home videos), you are going to hit a problem with Macrovision copy protection if using an all in one unit.
If they are recorded in longplay, you'll just get the same quality as it was recorded in the first place.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
