I took a while for some of my accounts to register the fact that i was BR. It may be worth setting up a co-op account so its ready to use if your natwest account suddenly gets frozen. Either that, or you may want to inform natwest about your BR and see whether they will let you keep it or not. They will find out eventually and you don't want to get caught short!

Yeah i've opened a CO-OP cashminder today, i'm going to transfer my direct debits over and have all monies paid in to the it as soon as my account and sort code come through, bye bye nat west:T

I got bank statements about 4-5 months after going BR. they have now stopped but i was left wondering...
My OH opened a barclays account before going BR, this also opened a savings account at the same time. Once he had gone BR barclays closed the savings account but let him keep the other one.
We both opened co-op accounts on the day of BR and that was fine.

Good choice. The co-op are one of the very few banks who welcome us BR's with open arms, without making judgement. I am happy to give them my custom and be loyal to them as a thanks for this.

Spread the word to BR's...the co-op are lovely....!
