Hi at the moment I use excel each month to do a budget and put in my day to day spending to ensure that I dont go over my budgets!
Do you think that I would benefit from software like Quicken?????
Thanks
Catherine

I've used MS Money for very many years to track all expenditure. It's much better for the job than a spreadsheet IMHO, because it's designed around what you need to do, i.e. accounting, reconciliation and entering future transactions. Very handy also to be able to assign expenditure categories which can be viewed aggregated across multiple accounts. I don't really use the budgeting features (my copy is about 10 years old too, so I don't have the online stuff).
Definitely a program you end up not knowing how you did without.0 -

I use MS Money but, I would definately recommend using one of them. Been using it for about 10 years (three upgrades) and could not live without it.
It allows you to budget, see when the peaks and troughs are, and you can set up reminders for any large bill or transaction.
