i can't talk to him/email him back or anything without upgrading my profile to a paying one, which i'm really not that keen on, and haven't got the cash anyway....
so the email i sent saying, hey it's me, we ran a 10k together etc etc won't have got to him....
so next question, do any of you singletons have a match.com profile and can contact him for me....?
it's not like i don't know him, he's not an axe murderer or owt...!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
afternoon all!
Maz - well done on the light missus - and flippin' heck, talk about the coincidence of seeing that bloke online!
Lou - have a lovely holiday - whatever shade of chocolate you currently are :rotfl:
Snaggles - I was reading back last night and it struck me that Mr Sunday might be being a bit too nice in that he doesn't want to let you down. If you've gone from sleeping together to being friends and seeing where it goes, that just shouts out that he doesn't know himself and is just going to string you along. It sounds like too much hassle this early in a relationship and if you live miles away from each other, where is just being friends going to lead relationship wise? Be friends, yes, but discard any thoughts of it going back up a notch.
Skint - Albufeira, you mentioned last night. We went 5 years ago in late April. The Strip is the boozy end of town and would be a nightmare around this time of year. It's a long line of bars and cafes and apparently is open until early hours and gets very rowdy, I would hate to go to that part of town in the summer, although it was dead in April. Best area is around the harbour/Old Town/the square where it is a bit more civilised and not quite as tatty."Stay Wonky":D

Maz, it's not that big a town and if you and Erin go out for lots of walks you are bound to bump into him surely... Good for you though!
BB, thanks for that, it was the old part I was in before and it was very relaxed and had some nice restaurants/bars was a while ago so could well be tatty now LOL! I just have happy memories of running down the steps to the beach and chilling out.Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

it's serendipity! lol!
except with serendipity you wouldn't be too skint to subscribe!
ah well, he is obviously a paying member so will maybe get in touch again... altho it will be a tad one sided!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
the old part is still ok - we stayed in that part (well at the top of the VERY steep hill that runs down to it!!) and it is nice there on the beach. I would stay in the old town again - definitely.
I guess we might do a day trip to Albufeira when we go to Quarteira in October."Stay Wonky":D

Maz, if you don't get any other volunteers, I think a friend of mine at work might be on match.com (contrary to popular belief, I'm not on there, lol!). So I could ask her if she'd mind passing a message on.
BB, if this was Shrek we were talking about I would agree with you 100%, but Mr Sunday is a completely different character and I don't think he does 'too nice'. It wouldn't occur to him to spare my feelings that much I don't think.
And I started the conversation by saying I didn't think there was room for me in his life and I was going to back off (so pretty much dumping him), so it would have been so easy to just let me, if that was really what he wanted.
I've decided to just go along with it, be friends, but whilst we ARE just friends, then I am single and will date other people if I meet anyone I like.
He has just sent me a message asking if there's anything I need (because I'm not very well), or any way he could be of use (I could suggest a way he could cheer me up... but I wont!). So he's being nice, at least, which is more than Shrek ever was after the numerous times he dumped me."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
