Cavity Wall Insulation - Polystyrene balls vs Fibreglass?

I know polystyrene balls and fibreglass used in a cavity wall have the same insulation properties but does anyone have a view about which is best? I've had two quotes and one company wants to use polystyrene balls and the other wants to use fibreglass. My first impressions were that the fibreglass company were more professional but would appreciate any further advice!

Most company's now days use mineral wool only .But worth seeing if you can get help ,we have had two houses done whilst on tax credits free ,we had one done 18yrs ago then move here 10yrs ago and had this done free too.The best thing is to go on the warm front site it should be able to tell you .I know even if you don't get it free there are grants to help . Worth asking!

Should be able to get this done free or at least for next to nothing and most firms blow in a fibre mix. If the insulation has the same retention properties, I don't see that anyone type has an advantage over the other TBH. If your gut feeling says the firm with the fibreglass is the more professional, then go with that. Just don't get taken in by a slick sales guy, its the fitters that do the work that count!

Hi, Just to let you know we went with the fibreglass firm. They turned up when they said they would and got on with the job - just as professional as the surveyor. It was organised through EDF energy but the firm was called A & M Insulations. Can't wait to feel warmer and use less oil in winter!
