Car boot or ebay?

I've had a clear out recently and have some bits and bobs to sell, mainly clothes (around 40 items).
I've read through some posts here and can't decide whether to try and sell the clothes on ebay (never sold on there before) or try them at a car boot. They're not big names, but in good condition and I don't really want to throw them out for the sake of it.
Do clothes sell well at car boots? I'm not expecting to get more than about £2 maximum per item, so I am leaning towards a car boot as ebay seems to be a bit of a faff!
But then I worry that I don't have enough stuff to do a car boot and it might be a waste of time. Any suggestions?

if they are low value then the carboot would be your best bet i say, you can get rid of it all in one go then and you dont loose so much in the listing and final value fee like you do on ebay, only the car boot entrance fee.
If you thik you havent got enough see if a friend wants to it with you if they have stuff to get rid of too you can split the entrance fee between you thenEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
Definitely carboot if its average clothes. However what i do is i tend to carboot all the clothes first. I'm firm with prices and dont give "massive" discounts if people begin to bargain, unless the clothes is really bad and won't sell on ebay, and the rest of the leftovers i ask a friend to sell on ebay for me.MSE allowed me to see the light0

Ok, think i've decided on a car boot!
I did plan to do one with my sister, but she ended up throwing all her stuff out, so i'm on my own. I would quite happily give it to a charity shop normally (which I will do if it doesn't sell) but I lost my job recently so could do with the extra pennies.
I've just looked and there seems to be one very locally on Sunday which I didn't know about, so i'll check the weather and go from there.
Thanks for your replies
