Emailing someone a link

Hi guys.

Does anyone know why when i try to email someone a link to a page on mse that i get the following message?

daisy2002, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
I only wanted to send my mum a link to a competition :o
I used to be able to do it but know i can't............ have i done something wrong?

    Where do you get this message? On MSE?

    Are you just copying the link and pasting it into an email? Or you doing it a different way?

    When i click on 'thread tools' & then 'email this page', that is when i get the message.

    Suggest, dropping it into hotmail. Copy the address into it.

    Oh I see, i've never used that function, didn't even know it existed actually :o Hopefully they'll come along and fix it soon :)

    If you can't get that to work, the way i'd do it would be to just copy the web address and go to your email provider and paste the link into an email (i'd write something in the email so she doesn't think it's spam though ;))

    Happening to me as well, grrrrrrrrrrrr I cant forward any of the bargains on now to my friends, any one know when it is gunna be fixed??????
