Post Office Credit Card - Activation??

Hi
I just received my first ever credit card, the Post Office Credit Card. What I'm wondering is do I have to activate it, there is no mention of it on the letter with the card. Also any fellow users of this card, how long does it take for the 6 digit pin to come for the online side of things.
