Need help switching for the first time
Hi all
I have read a number of posts and also Martins advice on MSE.
We are curretnly with Southern for electricity and gas but with the DD going up I wanted to shop arround to see what was out there.
It works out based on the last quarters actual meter readings e-on would work out cheaper, but our circumstances have changed and the usage will have increased from now onwards, so do I
1-wait for another quater or just base the figures on previous usage, or
2-just take the unit/kw prices into consideration.
and how do i know if we are using too much elect/gas for the size of the house v's number of people v's the electrical items etc etc (or is there no way to really calculate this??)
Are e-on as bad as they say they are for residential properties because we have had experience with e-on but with business dept instead.
and is it better to do it through a switch company or them directly if they offer cashback on rpoints or quidco??
thanks all
