Hi Moneysavers,
I am moving into a New Build 2 Bed flat next week and I need help deciding what electricity and gas provider to use. It does have a meter and is not pre pay. Can anyone advise what my likely bills would be and who would be cheapest.
Thanks

Initially you will have to use the electricity and gas provider at the house. you can then apply to switch but it will take several weeks.
Nobody has any idea how much gas and electricity you will use as it depends on so many unknown factors - how warm you like the flat, how long you stay in the flat, baths or showers, tumble dryer use a lot etc etc.
However a new build should be well insulated so if you budget for around £80 a month, you should be in the right region.
Cheapest supplier again impossible to say, but will be one of the internet tariffs - e.g. BG Click, Eon on-line etc.0 -
I think an online tariff will be cheapest. I think I will see what bills I get after the first month and do a comparison after to see who is cheapest. Do you think a smart meter is a good option to get?0
