Hi,
I know I could save money by switching Gas and Elec supplier (currently with npower and have just had my tariff switched to their new Fix for Free following the end of my fixed rate offer).
I spend approx £750 per year jointly (only a 2 bed house, and me and my husband both work so only evenings and weekends usage).
However, I have heard horror stories from people who have switched and for various reasons have ended up with huge bills, things like:
Does anyone else feel like this? - How can I make sure Im doing the right thing by switching?
I have tried comparison sites and they all say I could make a saving of approx £90, but im not sure if i am entering the correct usage?
Sorry if I sound a bit dim
This is my first home, and the first time Ive had to consider switching
Thanks

Seems a bit pointless opening 2 threads to deal with the same issue.

Princess is clearly worried, lol. If it worries you so much, don't do it. However, I used to be a serial switcher (for cashback trousering purposes) and really never had a problem with any of the switches. just be sure to keep your own records of meter readings should anything go wrong. And watch for the new supplier offering you an artificially low DD amount - IMO they do it to get you into debit straight way to stop you from switching again.

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
Hi,
I opened 2 threads, as 1 is a question regarding the rates per unit offered by npower (I was asking how they compare to other suppliers), and this thread is asking about peoples experiences of switching??
Clearly different questions on the same topic.0 -
Turkey Lurkey and Henny Penny will be along shortly with some advice.0
