This was obviously written by somebody who knows what they are talking about. Thought I would share it, it may be useful for somebody.


So now little man, you’ve tired of grass
LSD, goof balls, cocaine and hash

And someone pretending to be a friend

Says “I’ll introduce you to Miss Heroin”

Well honey, before you start messing with me

Just let me inform you of how it will be

For I will seduce you and make you my slave

I’ve sent men much stronger than you to their graves

So you’ll start inhaling me one afternoon

You’ll take me into your arms very, very soon

And once I have entered deep into your veins

The craving will drive you almost insane

You’ll need lots of money, as you’ve been told

For darling, I’m much more expensive than gold

You’ll mug and you’ll steal for my narcotic charm

And you’ll only feel happy when I’m in your arms



The day that you realise the monster you’ve grown

You’ll solemnly promise to leave me alone

If you think you’ve got the mystical knack

Then sweetie, just try getting me off your back

The vomit, the cramp, the gut tied in a knot

The jangling nerves screaming for just one more shot

The hot chills, the cold sweats, the withdrawal pain

Can only been saved by those little white grains

There is no other way and no need to look

For deep down inside, you’ll know when you’re hooked

You’ll desperately turn to the pusher and then

You’ll welcome me into your arms once again

And when you return, just as I foretold

I know that you’ll give up your body and soul

You’ll give up your morals, your conscience and health

And you will be mine…….. until Death Do Us Part

So very sad but so very true,This drug is spiralling out of control our children,relatives etc trapped to this.
Thank-you for posting will write this out and post to the drug rehab centre near me.

I watched a program a little while back called "GOING COLD TURKEY" With 3 herion users in a hospital,At the end one of the nurses read out a poem about herion,but i did not think to write it down as that was also a great poem,If anyone does happen to know it please post.

My nephew has just detoxed to get of of herion,A long struggle that destroyed a whole family,Hopefully he will stay clean,My pray's and thoughts are with him if he can as he is a really great person,He never stole to feed his habit he worked but he was also caring for his disabled gran,Who has never gave up on him,He still lives with her and does all he can for her,Cleaning cooking etc.
He wanted to move away from the area he lives in as he says the other addicts never quit on you but he could find now where else to go as he had no savings or employment to go to,No one could help him with this so i just hope he can fight of the others and move forward.

I watched that program too, I know first hand the devestation this drug leaves, I would like to see the three people from the program 6 months down the line and see how many are still clean. I would love to see all three made it but somehow I doubt it. getting clean is the easy bit, staying clean is almost impossible although it can be done. I wish your nephew well and hope and pray he is one of the lucky ones who manages to beat this evil drug, it has torn my family apart!!!!

So sorry susi,but how come the dealers keep getting away from it,there should be tougher penalities then maybe just maybe they will think again.
I wish you and your family all the best,I think it really is out of control now.

Sorry I think this attitude is so silly. There are dealers because there is demand. Because of prohibition the supply is in the hands of criminal gangsters.

The profits are so huge that any gaol term or punishment would not deter someone from selling.

The irony is the best medicine for a heroin addict is ....... er heroin- medically provided- pure and supervised. However the objection of the Americans means the one treatment which works is not allowed.

Instead the dreadful road of Methadone is offered
