Auctions set to UK, what am I doing wrong?

Despite, after an issue a few weeks back, setting up all my listings so I will only sell to those ebayers registered in countries to which I ship (UK only), ANOTHER auction has just gone to a US bidder. I have had to do so many claims in the past for ppl who say their items have not turned up, that I wil not post abroad anymore, ashad to put my prices up to ship internationally with tracking and then got complaints about prices - decided it wasn't worth the hassle.
HOw do I go about cancelling the transaction for this one, and make sure I don't get anymore overseas time wasters?

Did you offer collect in person?"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100

I would cancel the bids, and change the settings to UK only

I'm sure there's a couple of places you need to set to UK only- can't think offhand, but I think if you miss one, your items can still end up going overseas. Soolin or someone else will have a better idea of this than I do.0

Unfortunately she sniped it and won in the last few seconds, so didn't have the time to cancel the bid. But have tried to cancel the transaction.0 -

Bang goes that theory then.
I thought perhaps when you tick the box marked "do not allow bidders from countries I do not ship to" and you have collect in person, then you don't actually ship to any country so to allow bids, ebay opened the bidding to all.
Obviously not though.
Perhaps ask ebay to explain how this happened? I would do so via telephone otherwise they'll fob you off with "speak to your buyer" or some other such nonsense."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Quote her the postage service in which the item is fully tracked. As you didn't have overseas postage prices on the listing, she can't really complain as she should have asked before bidding. Either she'll pay and you're ok as it's tracked, or she won't which is what you're after.:j30/7/10:j
