Anyone had problems with this printer ?

My daughter's PC doesn't seem to like it. It won't print - deleted all the Epson software to load the latest driver from epson web-site - still no go.
Everytime you try and do anything that is printer related Windows locks up.

Do you have another PC you could try & install the printer on to?
I recently had problems installing a Lexmark all-in-one onto a laptop (similar lock-up type problems).
When I loaded the software onto my main PC, the problem didn't arise.
It may be you have some type of software conflict going on. I cured mine by re-loading Windows. (Don't forget to back up any valuable data if you go down this route though!).

I'm too chicken to try it on my own PC !!

I thought it might be some sort of software conflict but I've removed a lot of stuff with no effect.
Have found an obscure website saying that this printer can have problems with some USB/motherboard chipsets. There are several suggestions to try in the set up, failing that, it says install a separate USB PCI card, which WILL cure the problem. I assume that means, if it IS the USB causing the problem in the first place !
