Woolwich/Barclays shares

My father who has recently passed away held Woolwich shares which I think he got free when they went public. I'm assuming they were then converted to Barclays shares at some point as I can find reference in his paperwork to Barclays dividends.
However I cannot find a share certificate. Can somebody tell me whether these are likely to have been held electronically in Crest?
Also does anybody know what a 'standard' allocation of Woolwich shares would have been and how many Barclays shares that is likely to represent?
Finally, does anybody know who/where the registrar is for Barclays shares?

My mum got shares in barclays at the time to. Contact the registrar and they can sort it out.
We had similar situtation with BAA and just sorted it.0 -
