Do you leave feedback if you give a refund?

First time I've had to do a refund. Sold product still in packaging but it doesn't work.

Waiting for my money to get into paypal to do the refund.

What do I do about the ebay feedback? Do I leave some once the refund goes through, or do I just leave it?

this isnt completely clear, ive had to read it a few times to work it out. Are you saying that you bought a product and when you got it didnt work and your waiting for the seller to refund your money into paypal before you send the faulty item back

or

you sold a product that turned out to be faulty and your waiting to transfer money into paypal from your bank so you can refund the buyer

are you a buyer or a seller????

sounds like the op is the seller and they are refunding the buyer

i would leave feedback if buyer leaves positive feedback for you

thats what i thought at first ,but why are they waiting for money to go into their paypal?thats the confusing bit, and if the op is the seller, there is no mention of the buyer returning the item.

Probably don't have the funds in paypal account or a credit card attached. Therefore you have to wait for the bank to transfer the funds into your account before can pay. For some reason it takes upto 10 days sometimes.

I would wait for the buyer to leave feedback before you do. If you refunded no problem there is no reason to leave nasty feedback. I thought though if you cancelled the transaction you couldn't leave feedback anyway?

There is no such thing really as cancelling a transaction. The only way the buyer loses the right to leave feedback is if a seller can get a full NPB opened and closed without the buyer responding.

You can mutually cancel a transaction but this is only to recover the seller their FVFs and I think by calling it a cancellation ebay are being a little confusing.

That's the one I'm the seller but I withdrew the money from paypal, now have to wait for it to go back in to do the refund.

Everything has been amicable. Just wanted to know if it was possible to leave feedback and if I should .
