Home phone with call barring feature

I've been looking for one of these, anyone got any experience of them, like how well do they work, recommendations, etc?
Dont want to be paying nearly £4 a month to BT for them to block one number that seems to be constantly calling 24 hours a day.
I have seen the truecall add on for £80-£100 but I'd rather just have the feature in a handset (or rather several handsets) to replace my aging DECT phones.

The only way you can bar incoming calls is to rent an appropriate call feature.
Their are no home phones as far as i am aware that have an incoming call bar facility.0 -
The Panasonic KX-TG8321E definitely has an incoming call bar facility without having to subscribe to a carrier call feature. I use this facility on a daily basis and it works.

Yup, I've found the Panasonic 8424 has it too, tempted to get one.
Can you give me any info as to how it works, i.e. does the phone or base ring at all or indicate that the incoming call has come through? I've got BT blocking an odd mobile number that keeps hanging up but on occasions trying to send a fax (or that's what it sounds like). Rather save the £4 a month if I can though

The phone does not ring at all and there is no real time indication of an incoming call. The number will however then appear in the received calls list.

That's exactly what I'm after. The one I've looked at seems to suggest you can block numbers on each handset, however I'm not that fussed for that, just happy to block the odd number we're getting calls from now. Can't be anyone I've upset, only got the number 3 weeks agoToxteth_OGrady wrote: »The phone does not ring at all and there is no real time indication of an incoming call.
