Hi,
WHen trying to run hijackthis, i got a message saying it could not run because msvbvm60.dll was missing or corrupt.
I looked in the system32 folder and the file is there.
I googled it and then downloaded the visual basic files again from microsoft - all looked fine but when i then restarted the laptop it said that the file was not installed or was corrupted.
I tried to delete the file from system32 but got a message stating cyclic redundancy check.
Anyone got any ideas how to sort this out please?

Thanks for the replies - I have already tried to download the file again but without success.
I typed that into the 'run' box and it came up with this message:
LoadLibrary("windows\system32\msvbvm60.DLL") failed - The specified module could not be found. (which I presume is not good!)
Any more ideas please?0 -
try
regsvr32 /u c:\windows\system32\msvbvm60.DLL
to unregister it
then
regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\msvbvm60.DLL
to re-register againEx forum ambassador
