On the whole i am quite happy with what we are doing this year, i normally buy way to many eggs and the kids aren't even great chocolate lovers.

However we have just got them two each as they have alot from other family, we always get them to decorate a basket which i then fill with other sweets and gifts, this year i went to the poundshop and spent about £10 which included treats for the baskets and lots of other treats and gifts for the games i am planning.

Being DFW means i have put more thought into it this year than i have done for the past few years, and i am really looking forward to it.

As for cards my family has always sent cards but i make my own and so do the kids, the grandparents love getting a big load of handmade cards and pictures and bits and bobs, all made from things around the house and with great love.

I've not bought any easter eggs, my mum and dad never really gave me any as a kid so it kind of passes by un-celebrated in our house. I am going to the boyfriends Mums for dinner tomorrow night though so more free food for us! woo! (although I did put a deposit down on a car today so it hasnt been an entirely DFW weekend!)

Uuh not good :( I mashed up lots of sausages in the frying pan to create a sausage paste and then tried to stick it together in an egg shape using mayonnaise as glue. The results, errr, not too good :( I feel sick now :(

    Very DFW Easter here :D

I got OH a M&S egg weeks ago so that spend was done and dusted in previous pay check ;)

I have three friends that we always excange cards and gifts for Easter. This year I did exceptionally well. I got them each a gift for £1.50 - reduced from £13! :D Very nice, Easter themed nic naks. Then I got a pack of 5 Easter cards for 99p from a local shop - 2 cards left for next year :j

Then tomorrow I have my family coming over for dinner and I am using a gmmon from the freezer and veg that we have already. Popped into Tesco earlier and got pudding as I won't have time to make it - 4 little apple crumbles for 52p each :j

I just feel really good about it all right now. My efforts are paying off and I am at the 'warm feeling inside' stage :o

Have a great Easter everyone! I can't wait to have my eggs! :EasterBun

Ive been very naughty. i am not religious but any excuse for chocolate!i bought my son and daughter a big egg each from asda after sending back 2 £4.99 ones that tesco had put in as 'substitutions' for the 3 for £3.50 ones that i ordered. the ones i bought were £3.47 each so a bit of moneysaving there i suppose. My daughter in return made us a lovely chocolate easter cake with mini eggs all around the rim. yummy.
