It gets worse. Quidco have closed my Help ticket, saying "I have checked our records and your click through date meaning the date the original transaction was made was actually the 28 July 2009. The rate of cashback on this day was £50.00 so this has validated correctly. We apologise for any disappointment caused.
I trust that this clarifies the situation for you."
I am very hacked off with Quidco because a) this simply isn't true; and b) I find Quidco's response to be very unhelpful - no attempt to clarify anything with me and unilateral closure of a help ticket without any feedback from the person raising the ticket.
Where do I go from here? I have raised another Help Ticket explaining that Quidco are wrong about the transaction date and that I have evidence to prove it but I assume Quidco will just close this also? Any experienced Quidco chasers out there?
You sure it wasnt £50 on the date in question.
Have a look at www.archive.org. Might be able to check using this.0 -

Don't you start! Yes, I am sure.0 -
Surprise, surprise. No redress and another ticket closure with no adequate investigation by Quidco.
I've raised another ticket explaining that unless I get a serious response, I won't use Quidco again. I have an account with Topcashback, who seem fine so far (three or four successful transactions).0 -

Did you check the archive? Are they denying you did it on the day in question or are they saying that on the day in question it was only £50?
Should be able to prove it this way.0 -
I find this hard to believe as quidco are one of the most honest sites out there.0

I don't have to check the archive because I am not completely senile and I clearly recall entering into this transaction at a time when Quidco were offering £65 - that is why I did it! I also have an e-mail from PaydayUK dated 26 July with my loan agreement attached. I had never previously contacted PaydayUK in any way. My e-mail system is functioning correctly with respect to date stamps. Quidco are suggesting I actually did this transaction on 28 July. If this were so, I would not have an e-mail from PaydayUK on 26 July.
Anyway, I have now had a reply to my latest Help Ticket from somebody who says he will investigate. We shall see.0 -
Well, I am not lying!

So I take it the cashback was £50 on the 28th?0 -
I have been using MSE for quite some time (years) without ever registering but after spotting this thread had to pop in to thank OP. I didn't have Quidco so did this on TopCashBack as they offered £50, I wasn't that fussed about the little extra as was used to TCB and didn't want the hassle of registering new account with Quidco and they would take £5 anyway.
I did it late Tuesday, got the loan and the cashback today so £30 for them giving me a loan, can't beat that, o apart from the part where they said it's only 10 days till payday so will repay automatically next month at no extra charge.
I think I will do one after this has cleared for the O/H, seems silly not to! Maybe I'll even venture on to Quidco then!
For anyone that is interested there is also another company doing the same although onlyl £5 profit but profit is still free money!!
Payday Express £80 loan repay £100 and get £25 cashback on Topcashback or Quidco.
Thanks again OP!!0 -

Well, I think so. I only need to know what it was when I applied, on 26th.0 -
Hi everyone
I got an £80 loan via Quidco - it is showing as "validated" but no payment yet. I have never used Quidco before. I am hoping to get the £65 asap; I took out the loan two weeks ago. Can it take quite a while? If it is noted as validated on my Quidco account, does this mean I will definitely get the cashback?
Many thanks0
