I picked up a brochure called York Mini Guide 2007/8 while I was at one of the Park & Rides [excellent service and value btw]. Its a guide to various sights and eateries in York and there are a few savings offered, such as 15% discount on entry to Clifford's Tower and the Cold War Bunker, £1 off some of the Ghost Tours/Hunts, and discounts of around 10-20% in some restaurants.So your answer don’t be scared of failure
