I am after some advice. My hubby applied for a credit card and was declined???
We have an excellent credit record and have a very good salary....the only thing i can think of is we have moved back from abroad (no electoral roll in different country) and have lived in the uk for less than a year. Our current card interest rate is 14.9% so we would really like to transfer the balance to save money but i don't want to do anymore applications as i am aware that this can effect our credit score.
Would you appeal?

No harm in trying. They're looking for stability so long terms in employment and with UK banks will all count in your favour. Have you looked at your credit reports?

Have you checked your credit file to ensure that all your details are up to date (i.e: both registered on electoral roll, all your creditors have the right address...etc)?
Do you have a lot of credit?
Appealing against their decision is very rarely successful. If you have applied for 1 CC there is no harm to apply for another one from a different credit provider, they all have different lending criteria
