Leisure and New World Range Cookers

Anyone have any experience of these? I am looking at the duel fuel ones. The leisure is 100cm and has 2 ovens and a separate grill. The New World is 90cm and has 2 ovens (one of which has a grill in it). Both have a storage compartment.
My budget is around 800 for the cooker and hood so no good recommending rangemaster or better as my budget won't stretch. I am buying a house where the seller has taken the rangemaster and hood but is leaving the splashback. Hence my being keen to have a freestanding range cooker to fit the gap. It looked great when I went to look round, was rather sad it wasn't staying! Oh well.
One other question, the leisure has a lid on. Will this look daft with a splashback behind? Could it be taken off and look okay?
Thanks. We complete on Friday - Yay!!!

Hi there, how wide is the space that you have, as the two cookers you have mentioned are different widths.
I cant comment on either of these, but as your budget is so tight would it be worth looking for a second hand cooker on ebay, you might get more for your money?0 -
Hi, we went with the leisure in stainless steel. It looks great. Just need to get it fitted!
Gap will take the 1000 which is what we went for but splashback which is left is 900 so thought a 900 would have looked ok. We have gone for the 900 hood. Prices very good at Dual Domestics in Doncaster which is where we got it from in case anyone is looking. They have a good range.

Go for the leisure one. new world are pretty poor appliances. Also, you will get the benefit of having a seperate grill. Leisure also do 900mm ranges though, so have a shop around...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
