I have just priced some at Howarth timber and they were £108.00 each inc vat.Not sure if they were solid or veneered because i didn't ask.My customer wanted them cheap as poss. They were very nice looking doors though.I have an account there as i am in the trade but you should be able to get them around that price if you shop around.Maybe there is an Howarth branch near you?
As a general piece of information for anyone wanting joinery products,Howden timber have branches nationwide. You can only buy if you open an account with them but that is simple and open to anybody.Magnet is also worth a look.Failing that, any of the big timber/builders merchants should be able to supply them.0 -
Between £60 and £100 they are likely to be veneered.
Chap down the road replaced his doors and paid nearly £300 each for oak doors..he cant remember where the joiner got them from..so I cant help sourcing any..sorry

I installed oak doors downstairs in my house about twelve years ago. I had them made by a local joinery firm. As far as I can remember you have a choice of oaks. I think you can have, english oak, japanese oak and american oak. I went for american oak because it was cheaper and I liked the lighter colour. I am very happy with my doors. I think you should inquire about having them made.
Hope this helps..........Whitebeams0 -

Another great place to try is X L Joinery. I work for a builders merchants and we buy their doors - Fantastic quality at unbeatable prices . I know they also supply all builders merchants nationwide i.e. your Travis Perkins , Keyline , etc
If you contact them via `phone or website they will direct you to your nearest/local distributor.

I woould say they were veneered, specially at that price, as I paid over a £130 per door from a proper door shop, I know I could have got them cheaper if I shopped around, but the door shop was quite local for me, and arrived the next day.
But in all honesty, the veneered doors are just as lovely as the solid oak, and you cant see the difference, you can feel difference if you try a lift a solid oak door, but thats about it.
I am very happy with my panel veneered dorors.:D0 -
we have just paid around £130 for Oak Internal Doors throughout our house. We spent a long time looking around visiting various joinery shops and internet retailers. There is still a huge difference in quality of products available and this is not always reflected in the prices. We did think about veneered doors but just decided in the end that they didn't feel real, or look real and you could always see the veneers if you looked hard enough. We eventually decided to do the job properly and did all internal door in our house with Solid Oak Suffolk internal doors. After travellign all around the country looking for the best deal we bought ours from UK Oak Doors, we can highly recommend their products and delivery was pretty quick too.0
