Ooh that's not nice! Still, it is nature I suppose....

I need to catch up on the thread....why are you ill? You haven't got this horrid cold /fluey/hell business going round have you? I had that for 3 weeks amongst other things....and the falling down the stairs business:rolleyes:

This past week I have been in bloody agony...because (and I don't know how I managed this??)...I sprained/pulled all the muscles etc over the ribs on my left side last Wednesday night...oh ...the pain!

Because it came on so quick, I panicked and took myself off to the docs the next day (10.20 appointment ...on the same day??? unheard of!)...anyway...no chest infection type thing....so either sprained/pulled muscles or SHINGLES:eek: ....Told me to go back if I got the rash (apparently the pain come before the rash)....well no rash (yet) so I am guessing pulled muscles... just from getting up from a lyeing down position on the couch to sitting up??

Breathing has been somewhat difficult/painful....bear in mind office moves etc....lifts have been out of action..I work on the 6th floor....and I am not the fittest of beings:o

Anyway, after that ramble, I do hope you feel better soon hun XX;)

Thankd Chris, I am a bit better today and last night.
Yes its that fluey thingy :( tell me its going to go one day :)

Would nature mind paying for some more chickens please ;) I don't mind its envoy having some, but it needs to replace what it ate :D

Your tattoo sounds lovely Jayne, you should have got it done all the way up your leg :D

I had it for about 3 weeks or so....but mine turned into a full blown sinusitus attack... ...I ALWAYS thought my colds lasted too long:rolleyes: :o Duh!!

Oh it was awful...I am sorry to say if you've got the same strain...I was using the sudafed AND sinex nasal spray stuff....following the instructions...kind of:rolleyes: .....but really like it was going out of fashion:p until I read up on t'interweb that they can actually make things worse if you use em too long:eek:....weakens the nasal mucus membrane or something:p so I decided not to take it with me to work....and of course by mid morning I could not breath AT ALL through my nose....and because of my stupid fall down the stairs everything was bloody painful as well:rolleyes: got the sudafed 12 hour relief tablets (nearly £6!)...but I have to say...they worked a treat by about the 2nd or 3rd tablet....and cleared up pretty quick...of course it could have been coming to the end of it anyway:rolleyes:

Do any of you work in a 'customer service' type environment? I only ask as I am taking on a new role from next week...and I am finding my CS skills somewhat lacking:p In other words....I am VERY close to telling the whinging !!!!!!!s to shove their comments and complaints up their !!!!!!!!:D (kind of doing both roles at the mo...)

However, I am very aware that ....sadly...much as I would like to....I can't do that:o

I am in a role were I provide financial info/advice etc now...but this new role will no doubt be more customer interfacing...internal customers...but I am finding certain individuals to be ...lets just say...difficult...(in that the minute they open their mouth I was to KILL them! )

    Any advice welcome! within reason:p

I have worked in customer service all my life and I think I know exactly how you feel. What I found that helped was the acceptance that I could ABSOLUTELY NOT do anything about it except grin and bear it. But I can still see the blue air after some of my comments when I got home. I do not have to put up with this any more. Old age and retirement does bring some benefits.

I work in a ITish enviroment sometimes, handling problems from internal customers, I get all kinds of stuff, moaners, complainers and then there are the lovely ones, the ones you have a laugh with, the ones you help out and they say thankyou. I really enjoy the lovely ones and they make up for the others.
The difficult ones and the moaners, I just put up with and think what idiots they are, I'm not going to go the extra mile for them, while I will for the lovely ones.

So all I would say is, enjoy the nice people, ignore the others :D

I work in a jobcentre so it is totally customer service orientated as it should be... However thank goodness we are starting to have zero tolerance to rudeness and aggression its no fun being sworn at or insulted for doing your job. I dont believe in being rude but i wont tolerate being sworn at anymore i am there to do a job with respect to my customers, in return i expect nothing less.

However with customer services comes a responsiblity there is nothing more worthwhile or satisfying than going the extra mile when you can, when you see you can help..... it makes you job worthwhile and fulfilling and most of the time:) i wouldnt change it.......:)
