morning everybody!
well done on your £2 harrie!
susie, brill to see you got your first day under your belt!
selfie, its sooo hard, and things arn't going to change overnight, but don't let yesterday deter you from trying. so many here work on ODAT (one day at a time), the world doesn't seem such a daunting place when you take it day by day. don't beat yourself up over it, you are getting there already, by coming on here, and saying what you have said, that took courage, the rest will follow. xx
Al, read your post re what mrs mac will say, and i can't answer for her, but i do know that in the past when i have been to visit my parents and left mr purr home alone, he has done far worse than you. all i can say is show her you missed her, make sure the house is as she left it (or better!;) ), show her you love her, and let her know you are not giving up giving up. Rome wasn't built in a day. good luck! when is she due back?
hugs and kisses to all

Hello all, thought I'd check in after reading all of the posts on old thread and this new one. Haven't posted for a while; hubby said I was becoming 'addicted' to it! (How LOUD did I laugh at that one?!!). Have had a v difficult couple of weeks....OH made me delete some of my posts, said people might know who I am...like people haven't seen me on one of my 'nights out'! Have had many heart to hearts and now he says he understands why I post. He has been 'lurking' himself lately, at my request, just to see what the attraction was, and was sooooooo p****d off at some of the inane and completely inconsiderate comment that were being posted by some 'excuses' for men and women. I had told him what a lovely bunch we aLL were
and he soon realised who the gen folk are
Anyway, he now fully supports me and thats made it a lot easier lol!
As for the drinking, have worked incessantly over easter, but wagon got so wobbly, I fell off it x 2 before that....ho hum. Onwards and upwards.
Still think you guys are the best, I'll tell you something, I never in my wildest imagination would have managed to acheive ANY successes (days w/o) without knowing you guys were about.....love to you all, xxxxx0 -

Currently at work, so not that easy to post. 21" monitor tends to be quite noticeable.
Kazmac, wobble and fall, hopefully they will get further apart.
The house will be shinier than a new pin.
Mrs Mac hasn’t responded to last night or this mornings texts, not unusual, just a little un-nerving at the moment.

Im fine Thanks
Back to dragging DD out of bed for school and GCSE`s looming, sick of the words "Course work" and "revision" apart from that everything is fine at this end, thank youI have an assement at college this afternoon, So I am just going over notes etc. Should be fine though, this is one of the easy ones. Did you eat loads of chocolate over the easter, need to keep your sugar levels up and it seems like chocolate is a common factor amongst all of us
Even I came close to refusing some more  and thats saying something, my middle name is chocolate

Morning
Kazmac thats great, I wondered where you had been, you're one of the lucky ones now, your partner will support you and try to understand. Give him a big kiss.
Susie, the sleeping as Al says, will take a long time to get better, when it does, it will seem like its always been like that. It seems to me, once I started giving up, the first getting over period was terrible, absolutely awful, the longer I left it before I had another drink the less time it took to get better afterwards. Now obviously if I was clever I wouldn't have drank again, but I have done. As Al, this is the least I've drank since I was 18, scary thought.
No self, have a hug (((((hug))))) you've got to keep a positive mind, even if you have a drink, you've got to keep wanting it, getting into a spiral downwards because you've had a drink is a stupid thing to do, thinking it doesn't matter any more, because you drank last night, isn't true, every day you drink matters, everyday there is an option to not drink.
Come here and shout at someone
