right errrrm how did it go ?

there was a part of me thats wanted to go for abit, but then
theres always been the other part of me thats stopped me from doing it...

started havin palpitations walking to the meeting...

got through those double doors to face another set........
then was faced with someone askin me if i was 'ok'. !!

BIG MISTAKE...... managed to get the words...
'am here for the'... out of me mouth then blarted out 'AA' meeting.....

at that moment i was handed a tissue and the lady said ' i gather
this is your first ??'........' quick guys lock the door, '

i was welcomed and the meeting was dedicated to me ..

there were sad moment,happy moments, laughing out load moments..
just people talkin about bloody stupid crazy stuff this 'thing' has got
us to do.........

no one was the same but everyone was equal.....

at the end i was asked if i wanted to say anything... (didnt have too)
i felt obliged to say somethink after listening to the others..

i just explained that i had managed 4 weeks dry & been through
the 'tunnel'... but things were getting worse .. i didnt want to go back
to how/were i was cause i havent got the strenght to get back again..

i came out feeling ok... & proud........

still cant believe i did it xxxxx

i have every intention of going again...

and yes... i did have a drink last night but i expected it xxxx

i would just like to take this oppertunity to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has been involved in this thread... especially those whos responsibility it is to keep the peace & balance between everyone.......:rolleyes:

ac - what you did must have taken huge amounts of courage and I'm totally in awe of you. From reading your posts I know how hard it was for you to walk through those doors but you did it. I think Al says it all really.....choked.
