We've all got big problems in one area or another, its good to hear yours, even though they brought a lump to my throat when I got to the river thing. Had the same thoughts myself, still do sometimes, although they are getting less now.

I think the only thing (apart from you guys) thats cheered me up was Boris Johnsons fabulous rugby tackle during the England?Germany match tonight....did you watch it?0

Boris Johnson, isn't he that conservative with white hair?“Pleasure of love lasts but a moment, pain of love lasts a lifetime.”0

Just went out for a fag and the cat almost gave me a heart attack!
Big massive noise right next to me, couldn't see anything, but could then hear crunching, got torch, cat had caught a mouse and was eating its head...... lovely!
Thought it was a rat, cos we've had some problems with them recently and when its a rat all the hair stands up on my body, have a slight phobia about them. Uggh, there are worse things than oveltine then?“Pleasure of love lasts but a moment, pain of love lasts a lifetime.”0 -
You'll have to read Rats and Lair, both by James Herbert:j The £2 CSC = £48 in carton£100 banked Mar 06V-Free : 4 weeks0

can anyone suggest anything - she'll never admit she has an alcohol problem (never ever) so i need to make her realise the impact of what she's doing some other way
I could really do with some thoughts here - sorry for rambling on and on.....
HI village_life,
I believe you need a lot of support in order for you and the rest of your family to be able to cope/deal with the situation ,contact alcoholics anonymous or al anon as they can give you the help /information you need and will also be able to advice you on the best way to help your mum
You cannot do this without some help ,as first of all your mum has to want help in order to get it (she has to admit she has a problem )and secondly handling it the wrong way could make the situation a whole lot worse...........................though I'm sure just now you feel it can't get any worse
I urge you to contact them and get the support you need ............good luck0
