Thinking of getting a new iPod as I've got too much music for my old 3G 15GB one now (and I like iTunes).
Am I right in thinking though that the latest 5G ones "with video" will be replaced soon by a proper iPod Video ? I seem to recall that they will be but couldn't seem to find when or if ! I wouldn't really want to buy one to find out I haven't got the latest version anymore after a month or so.

Dont know much about ipods but I saw one advertised as "video ipod" yesterday as free with a mobile phone contract ( flexi with t-mobile, deal through dial a phone I think )
HTH:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

i would hold up before buying one if i was you, yes you are right in saying that they are going to release a "proper" video player.
the current ipod is not an "ipod video" its just an ipod that has video functionality chucked in.
if you want your ipod for watching things on then wait until they release a proper "ipod video" but if you want it for music then getting the 5G ipod is great.
sorry about all the confusing talk lol, hope it makes sense0
