virgin credit card 0% coming to end help

my husbands virgin 0% is coming to a end he is thinking of calling up and seeing if they will extend it, would they we have never missed a payment,

this happened with my virgin card a few weeks ago, I have never missed a payment and had 4k in credit left on the account. They wouldnt extend my 0% deal nor would they offer me a reduced balance transfer rate. :mad:

You would be in a stronger position to negotiate an extension or lower interest rate, once the balance was zero. This applies to all credit cards, not just Virgin.

Please bear in mind that the reason Virgin could afford to lend you money at 0% for 16 months is because, more often than not, customers do not clear the debt and end up paying crippling interest when the promotion period ends. This is the main way lenders claw back the cost of these promotions.

It's almost as if they need to charge interest at some point to actually make a profit.

But that's just FRAUD/SCAM/RIP-OFF (delete as appropriate) if you ask me!
