It seems like you already know that you have a "satisfied default" and there would seem little point in getting further info from Capital 1. One such entry will make very little difference to your credit rating.

Incorrect - this default (satisfied or not) will have a major detrimental effect on the OP's ability to obtain credit for the next 6yrs.

    One missed payment =

    One default = :naughty:

well then you know what to do.......... either take them to court or live with it. They are above the law remember, they do what they like under the knowledge we can't afford to take them on!

Look at the link I posted and you'll see the content of some of their letters - joke! :D:D

    Hi There,

You replied to one of my threads and sent me one of yours which I read so thank you so very much.

However, I am finding this whole legislation thing really quite hard to get my head around. I was wondering if I provide you my information if you would mind writing me a letter? I have already sent a template off that was incorrect.

Please let me know either way.

    Many Thanks, N. :o

    Hiya,

If you post on the Sutton Default Letter thread (click me) with details of what has happened and what you already sent them (ooer) then i'll take a look for you.....

Don't worry - its usual for CrappyOne to act this way, you're not the first and certainly not the last....

Just add a brief explanation of events to date (more than what shows in post 1 here) and i'll catch up with you about it - when are you usually online, as it's good to spend half hour on here finalising the nitty-gritty...??

let me know either here, sutton thread or PM. :D

A massive post count but knows absolutely nothing about Credit Ratings, i guess their expertise is elsewhere on this forum and they come in here by mistake...

Evidently. Seems to be the case or they've had misinformed themseves by the CRA's..... wouldn't be too 'out of the norm' for wrong info be passed to them by the unscrupilous scum that is DCA's/CRA's

p.s. post count means little what with the false representation using the chat forums but this is all to change with the new system so those that help on money saving boards will benefit from increased thanks while the chat boards will not (or something like that)....
