worm found but wont delete

hello

recently i've been having a few problems with our virgin pcguard/wireless etc. i tried to uninstall the programmes but couldn't as they didn't exist!
i did other scans but no viruses were found...after reading other posts here i did a malware scan and it found a worm. i tried removing it via reboot but i can't get rid of it. i've done the scan 3 times now and the same worm shows up even though i've removed it.

can anyone help? i've never had virus problems before but pcguard has been playing up lately and now its just frustrating

Scan a FULL scan instead of a quick one

i'm now doing a full scan to make sure everything else is okay.

any idea how to remove a program that wont uninstall?
i'm trying to uninstall our virgin wireless manager as its faulty, when i click 'uninstall' it says that file does not exist, can not uninstall (the change/repair options arent available on the wirelessmanager)

virgin haven't got a clue how to remove it, spent last week on the phone with them each day trying to get our wirless to work properly now our new wireless routers arrived i needs to be removed before i can set it up properly again :o (prefer to ask here as talking to virgin is like taking to a brick wall grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)

Download REVO UNINSTALLER (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD NOW')
    http://www.download.com/Revo-Uninstaller/3000-2096_4-10687648.html
IF it can see it it may force remove the program

Another option is to reinstall it over the top THEN uninstall it
