2012 - seems about right, perhaps a bit longer, maybe people will just have gotten the idea through their heads that housing isn't some kind of miracle investment by then0

Me too, I gave up "Arguing" some time back... Once it became Blindingly obvious that Property prices had a way to fall.. & still do ..
You mean that you have no valid points left to argue now that we have reached the bottom?
The good thing is that we are likely to bump around at this level for the next 2 or 3 years, so hopefully those in denial or praying for further significant falls won't miss this buying opportunity.0 -
It's a shame its no longer predicted to hit 3 mil this year - it might have pushed house prices down a couple of %
It's pushed it down a lot more in the US, Japan, every other economy that's ever been in a similar recession. Not entirely sure what makes the UK so special. By the way that prediction's already been surpassed if you look at the non-fudged figures involving those going part-time and those not claiming. Get the frozen/deflated wages in for good measure, and... oh why am I bothering anyway?0 -
