No key for rental house front door!

Sometimes all you need is a better lock than next door. When flats I was living at were burgled I got let off by just happening to have a slightly better lock than the neighbours. I got a dent in the door, they got stuff nicked.0

You said the front door has a handle... if you get a broom upside down maybe you can place that so the handle can't be pushed down ... I used to do that as an "extra" on my back door years ago.0
