Going to disneyland paris in May. and have no idea how much money to take and in what form.
Hotel, tickets etc is already paid for, so its just food and spending money that I need to take, but am wondering how much to take and in what form, half euros, half travellers cheques etc. ??
Any experience would be handy as I haven`t got a clue!!

You will need hundreds. Lots.
It it expensive to eat, there is no real way of doing it cheaply in Disneyland unless you are taking the car and can go to an out of town supermarket.
Then there are gifts - the kids will want gifts and perhaps a photo or two.
As a rule, we take about the same amount we paid for the trip - we took 3 kids with us for 4 nights - took £600 and we came back with £100.
I cannot remember off the top of my head if there were any cash points (there must be though?!) or places to change money. Last trip, we stopped at the Kyriad and they provide room safes0 -
Going abroad now I only ever take a small amount of local currency and use my Nationwide credit card for everything else.
On a recent holiday my MIL got 2.01 swiss francs to the pound changing the money at Thomas Cook a few days before we left. I used the nationwide credit card and all transactions were between 2.26 and 2.28 swis france to the pound.0 -
ive been to disneyland a few times both with my parents and on my own (first holiday on my own) i spent more money when i was with my parents than i did on my own. disney do special childrens meals which are reasonable value and they are big enough for an adult as well. the restaurants are all about the same price but i can recommend the one named after the toy story pizza place (think its pizza planet?) that is quieter than the ones on the main drag and is slightly hidden, but also has play area. most of the hotels have disney shops in them and its worth having a look in there before go to park to get an idea of how much items are and what there is then can judge how much gifts are going to cost. the alcohol is expensive in the hotel as are evening meals so i would advise going to the disney village to eat great fun and for the money more of an atmosphere and more choice. photos can be expensive so i took a camera and when wanted to meet character (im a big kid) i found an english person close with children and asked them to take my photo most are happy to its cheaper than buying the official photos and sometimes even better.0

Dont forget that just outside the entrance to eurodisney is a big macdonalds, with prices much the same as you would expect here......dont know how many times you can build a McDs into your schedule! This is so sad but we took potnoodles with us as most of the rooms have a kettle of if not you can ask for one.0

We've been several times and took around 100 euros cash for ice creams, popcorn, coffee, snack etc. Everywhere else takes credit card, we used our Goldfish card and weren't ripped off at all in the conversion. We found this the safest way.
As to how much to take. When we went last year, it was working out about 50 - 60 euros for a meal for 2 adults and 2 kids. That;s a proper meal in an average restaurant, if you go to the all you can eat places they are good but are nearer 80 -90 euros for family of 4. A burger type meal for 4 works out about 20 - 25 euros.
we usually pack crisps, biscuits and fruit so that cuts down on the incidental buys. Ice cream and pop corn were 3 euros each.
It is expensive, but it's wonderful - enjoy!
For more info take a look at https://www.dlpfoodguide.com I found it useful, if only to take with me a list of ones to avoid!0
