Alton Towers Fire

Just thought I would post for anyone thinking of travelling to Alton Towers.
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at Alton Towers last night.
Six crews attended the fire at 10.30pm which is believed to have started in one of the base stations in the Skyride cable car ride.
It took four hours to bring the fire under control although one pump is still currently at the scene.
A spokesman for Alton Towers said: "The Skyride station in Cloud Cuckoo Land was completely destroyed by the fire.
"The park is open as normal today but the skyride will be closed for the foreseeable future."
